VP post for Wallace at Foden's

John Wallace, OBE, CBE is now a vice president at Foden's too...

Wallace

Foden’s has announced that Professor John Wallace OBE, and now CBE, has accepted the post of Vice President with reigning North West champion.

Debut

Professor Wallace recently made his contesting conducting debut with the band at the Brass in Concert Championship and the acclaimed trumpeter and Principal of the Royal Scottish Academy thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Just after that performance he heard that he had received the CBE in the New Year's honours list on top of his OBE, in recognition of his distinguished services to music. He will now join the band’s four other Vice-Presidents.

Foden's enjoyed a wonderful musical relationship with John Wallace at Brass in Concert and now to have someone of his knowledge and experience on board will open up new avenues for the bandJohn Barber

Great news

Foden's chairman John Barber told 4BR: "It’s great news for the band. Foden's enjoyed a wonderful musical relationship with John Wallace at Brass in Concert and now to have someone of his knowledge and experience on board will open up new avenues for the band.

Both parties are currently investigating several exciting projects that will be both challenging and high profile."
