Prior to Foden's recent much acclaimed appearance at the RNCM 'Festival of Brass' the band had been busy preparing and recording a solo CD with trumpet virtuoso Jens Lindemann.

Guests

Conducted by James Gourlay, the CD is due for release later this year, whilst the band will also team up with the star in a tour to Switzerland in November under the baton of guest conductor James Watson.

Meanwhile, Foden’s has confirmed to 4BR that Allan Withington will conduct the band at the North West area and that they will also compete at the English Nationals under Allan Withington.

Howard Snell will return to conduct at the Bridgewater Hall in May where they will feature in the gala concert alongside Black Dyke.

We have enjoyed working with Jens and James recently and are looking forward to our forthcoming trips with Jens as well as being conducted for the first time by James WatsonJohn Barber

Looking forward

Commenting on the news, Band Chairman John Barber told 4BR: "We have enjoyed working with Jens and James recently and are looking forward to our forthcoming trips with Jens as well as being conducted for the first time by James Watson.

The band enjoyed working with Allan and Howard last year and look forward again to working with such high class musicians."
