Last weekend the current English National champion, Fairey (Geneva) spent 10 solid hours in the recording studio laying down tracks for the eagerly awaited sequel to their ground breaking 1997 CD release, 'Acid Brass'.
New collection
Paul Warder told 4BR: "This collection consists of 12 new arrangements by Richard Rock of great Acid House numbers such as, 'Infinity', 'Jack to the Sound of the Underground', 'Acid Thunder', 'Theme from S'Express', 'We call it Acieed' and many more."
Nostalgic nod
The CD gives a nostalgic nod to its predecessor by including a special bonus track of 808 States 'Revenge of the Girlie Men', one of Rodney Newton's original arrangements that didn't make the 1997 recording.
It couldn’t have been done without the creative force behind 'Acid Brass' himself, Jeremy Deller, who took a watchful eye over the proceedingsFairey (Geneva) Band
Massive
Paul added: "Every concerned owes a massive thanks to Salford University for the use of their Adelphi Campus recording facilities over the weekend.
