New recruits at Cowes

There are a pair of new recruits on show at Cowes this year.

Cowes Concert Band has started the New Year in positive fashion by attracting two new recruits.

Experienced

Experienced Eb bass player Paul Savill, a former RAF bandsman, has bolstered the Isle of Wight band’s bass section, and 19 year-old Alex Elliot has joined on percussion.

Alex has previously played with the IW Youth Concert Band and the County Youth Wind Band and is also a member of Wight Diamonds marching band.

It’s been a great start to the new year with Paul and Alex joining us. They will be made very welcome and we hope their stay with us will be long and enjoyableCowes Concert Band
