Butlin's have announced that the highly acclaimed Bad Ass Brass will appear as part of the glittering evening entertainment programme at next weekend’s Mineworkers Brass Band Festival
Bad Ass Brass replace the Carol Jarvis Trombone Express who are unable to appear.
Great music
Formed in 2008 by a group of friends who wanted to make great music and have a lot of fun, Bad Ass Brass has been influenced by the sounds of traditional New Orleans brass bands – although they have added their own unique musical twist.
The band has performed extensively across the UK and Europe, including Ronnie Scott’s famous Jazz Club and the Royal Albert Hall, as well as to sell out crowds at the prestigious Cheltenham International Jazz Festival and the forthcoming 2011 St. Lucia Jazz Festival. Their debut CD was launched in October 2010.
Young talent
The band is comprised of some of the UK’s finest young brass and jazz musicians who are busy working in the London music scene. Every member brings their own unique style and influence to the band, with electric results.
