The organisers have confirmed the line up of bands competing for the 2011 Welsh Open title.

The event, which takes place at the historic Miners Pavillion in Porthcawl on Saturday 19th February, has attracted growing media interest, with this year’s event forming part of an hour long documentary to be screened on the Welsh language S4C channel.
Line up
The line up of bands who will try to impress adjudicator Derek Broadbent is headed by 2010 British Open champion Tredegar, who will look to retain the magnificent Miners Trophy and claim the £1,000 top prize in what will be their first competitive outing of the season.

Entertainment
The 20 minute open entertainment format will also see 2009 winners and Welsh League Champion BTM head a strong domestic challenge, which also features Tongwynlais Temperance, Abergavenny, Markham & District, Tylorstown, City of Cardiff (Melingriffith), Burry Port and Pontardulais.
The growing interest from over the Severn Bridge sees Bournemouth Concert, Lydbrook and Staines fly the flag of St George against their Welsh rivals.
