New Year honours for brass

Two great brass musicians in John Wallace and Maisie Ringham-Wiggins gain New Year's honours from The Queen.

Two leading brass musicians will receive honours from Her Majesty the Queen after their professional careers were recognised in the New Year’s Honour’s List.

Services to music

Former Halle Orchestra principal trombonist Maisie Ringham-Wiggins, was appointed a MBE for services to music, whilst John Wallace OBE, trumpeter and Principal of the Scottish Academy of Music and Drama will receive the CBE for services to Dance, Music and Drama Education in Scotland.
