Fodens

Foden's recently held their annual Christmas Concert to a capacity audience at Sandbach Boys School.

Emotions

The concert was a night of mixed emotions for the band as it was the final appearance for cornet players Dave Morton and Anita Dale.

The popular duo received a presentation to thank them for their services to Foden's and to wish them success on their forthcoming move to Australia.

Charity

During the concert Andy Rolfe made a presentation to Kathy Kenney from 'Relative Comfort' which was the chosen charity for Foden's recent self promotion concert in Chester Cathedral. Kathy was presented with a large donation from the proceeds.

The highlight of the concert was a presentation made to the band’s librarian Jimmy Charles who was celebrating his 50th anniversary with Foden's4BR

Highlight

The highlight of the concert was a presentation made to the band’s librarian Jimmy Charles who was celebrating his 50th anniversary with Foden's.

Jimmy joined the band on the 12th December 1960, and during the next 40 years played various positions in the band including cornet, horn and baritone.

Tovey & Snell

Prior to the concert the band held a buffet celebration and during the concert principal cornet Mark Wilkinson paid tribute to Jimmy's amazing service, as well as reading emails from Bram Tovey and Howard Snell who also paid tribute to him.
