Midlands Masterclass

West Midlands BBA to host conducting masterclass led by John Berryman.

The West Midlands Brass Bands Association has been awarded funding to hold a conducting masterclass aimed at passing on skills in the art of conducting. The project is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

Conductor

The Masterclass will feature Staffordshire Band led by John Berryman at Studley High School, Studley, Warwickshire on Saturday 15th January.

The event is aimed at lower section bands with music chosen to suit Second, Third and Fourth Section bands being the 2011 Regional Championship pieces.

We look forward to welcoming participants to Studley to join John Berryman and Staffordshire Band on what I am sure will be an inspiring and educational dayWMBBA

Open

The event is open to conductors, aspiring conductors and players of all abilities with an interest in conducting; especially those who engage with young people, to gain knowledge in this art form to improve the standard of public performance for brass bands.

Inspiring day

Barbara Dunscombe, Chair of the WMBBA told 4BR: "The Association is delighted to have received support from the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
