Bellshill Salvation Army Band is making yet another royal visit to Glamis Castle in Scotland.
Asked again
The band has once again been asked by Major Jim McCluskey to host a number of carol concerts in various locations in the Forfar area, including Kirriemuir, Arbroath Abbey and a few of the local churches.
Last year the band was asked by Glamis Castle to play in their grounds, which proved to be an historic occasion for the band which marched to the castle to play.
Royal home
The success of the event has meant a return invite with the added bonus of a personal tour of the castle for the band members. Glamis was a home to the Queen Mother for much of her childhood, whilst she also spent part of her honeymoon there.
Every year the money raised from the bands visit goes to a local charity, and this year it will be the British Legion who will be helped.
