Derwent Brass entered into the early festive spirit recently when they joined forces with the Derby Hospitals Choir for their annual Christmas concert.
Capacity
Compered by Steven Blakely from ITV’s ‘Heartbeat’ series, a capacity crowd helped to raise money for the charity, Parkinson’s UK.
Derwent, under the direction John Davis was in fine form playing music by Peter Graham and Darroll Barry alongside Mel Torme and Gordon Langford and also accompanied Carole Crompton who performed ‘You Raise Me’ up as a thank you to the hospital for treatment she received recently.
The whole evening raised around £6,000.
