Fairlop Brass, based in Hainault in Essex has been awarded £310 by the BT Community Champions Award scheme thanks to the voluntary work of band member David Jordan, a BT employee.
Impressed
Run by the BT Volunteering team, BT Community Champions awards BT people with funding on behalf of local community groups, charities and organisations where they work on a voluntary basis.
Fairlop Brass is one of hundreds that applied for an award and impressed the judges with how they would use their grant. The band has used the award to help purchase two promotional banners.

MD Kevin Jordan told 4BR: "We are very pleased with our BT Community Champions award. The new banners will give us a very professional image when performing or supporting local events."
