Derwent Brass has welcomed a new signing to the band in Edward Walford on second horn.

Graduate

A graduate from Huddersfield University he was tutored by Sandy Smith, Melvin Bathgate and Philip McCann and played with Huddersfield Brass and Yorkshire Co-op bands.

After finishing at Huddersfield, Ed undertook a Masters degree in Arts Management and took a sabbatical from banding to devote time to study.

Debut

After a return to banding with Enderby Band and latterly with Newhall he makes a move to Derwent in time make his debut at a concert this weekend.
