Rainford opt for O'Connor

MD Neil Samuel takes a breather as Graham O'Connor steps in for Pontins at Rainford.

The Rainford Band has announced that Powerfuel Hatfield MD Graham O'Connor will lead them at the forthcoming Pontins contest.

Quality time

Graham has been engaged in order to allow current Rainford MD, Neil Samuel to spend some quality time with his wife Olivia after the recent arrival of their new baby daughter Ava.

However, Neil will still be involved in the contest as he will be playing in place of outgoing 2nd trombone player Rachel Allen who is leaving the band to concentrate on her studies.

Welcome back

The band also welcomes Steve March back to the band in time for the contest where he will play solo trombone.

Steve rejoins having spent a happy and successful year playing with Brighouse & Rastrick. He will also join the band as an associate conductor.
