NOBBS out in Scotland

Some of Scottish banding's most famous NOBBS will be on display in Bo'ness later this month...led by Philip McCann.

The National Old Boys Brass Band of Scotland (affectionately known as NOBBBS) will be doing its bit for a great charitable cause later this month in Bo'ness, where they will be getting together to raise funds for Prostate Cancer Charity Scotland.

Proviso

The band is made up of players from the Scottish brass band scene — with the only proviso to join that they be over 40 and male — NOBBS size isn't important!

Fun

Conducted by Phillip McCann, the guys had so much fun at their inaugural concert in 2009 it was decided to have another concert, to again raise money and awareness of a disease that threatens the lives of so many men.

The event takes place in Bo'ness on the 23rd October with some real big NOBBSS showing off their musical tackle — including Phillip McCann, Steven Stewart, Chris Bradley, the illustrious NOBBBS trombone section of Alex Philip, Alan Fernie and Gordon McDougall as well as singer Fraser Simpson.

Further information

4BR has been informed that a great night is assured, whilst tickets and further information can be sought from Iain Fleming on 07759 334408 or flemingiain@hotmail.co.uk
