Shiver me timbers!

Old Hall Brass was the star attraction for a Pirate Party in Clitheroe recently.

Oldhall

Although the area itself is not particularly famous for its skull and crossbones heritage, the band were engaged to play at a local hotel for a part organised by businesswoman and flugel player Roxy North – who happens to own a ‘party store’ – which caters for all tastes for those seeking a great time of it!

Pirate theme

The theme for the occasion was all things piratanical (not puritanical) and so the band members entered into the spirit by dressing up as an assortment of Bluebeards, Long John Silver’s, Jack Sparrows, Corsairs, deck hands and members of the union of high sea adventures and cut throats to provide appropriate ‘shiver me timbers’ music to a delighted audience.

The band and the pub had a fantastic afternoon – and pirate sales went through the roof.
