Foden's set to sparkle under Bram Tovey in Chester.

Glyn Williams Musical Instruments has announced that that tickets sales for the forthcoming self promotional concert by Foden's Band in Chester Cathedral on Saturday 18th September commencing at 7.30pm are in high demand.

Fodens Band Chairman, John Barber told 4BR: "The concert will feature Foden's conducted by Bram Tovey with soloists Mark Wilkinson and Glyn Williams along with the Vale Royal Singers, and is attracting supporters and brass band lovers from all over the country."

Varied programme

A varied programme will include music to celebrate the 65th birthday of Edward Gregson, as well as Bram Tovey’s wonderful ‘Coventry Variations’.

Andy Rolfe, Fodens Band Secretary added: "We are very proud to sharing the stage with the Vale Royal Singers, and hope to raise a large amount of money for 'Relative Comfort', the Countess of Chester Hospital charity."

The Marple Band

March 13 • Cornet ( positions negotiable),baritone and kit percussionist vacancies to join our fabulous band. We are a friendly ambitious 2nd Section band, starting an exciting new musical journey with our MD Nick Birch.

March 12 • Back Row Cornet - due to a change in job, the band has a vacancy for a back row cornet. The band has a lovely atmosphere, and has regular jobs throughout the year as well as taking part in at least two contests.
