Becontree Band is to hold an open rehearsal on the 2nd Section Nationals test piece ahead of their appearance at the Lower Section finals in Harrogate.
Psalms
Runner up at Stevenage in the London & Southern Counties 2nd Section the band will present the work on Philip Wilby's 'Psalms and Alleluias'.
The band's preparations for the contest are in the final stages, following on from a busy summer of engagements, including their own successful concert featuring Dudley Bright of the London Symphony Orchestra.
The band have displayed real commitment over the past months, working continuously since the Areas without a breakMD, Adam Cooke.

He added: "We've enjoyed having the opportunity to showcase what we do at Becontree within the local community over the Summer, and we hope that local supporters who can't make it to Harrogate for the contest can come and show their support for the band at our open rehearsal."
Details
The rehearsal will take place on Monday 20th September, at the Barnardo's Village, Barkingside, Ilford, IG6 1BY.
At 8.00pm the band will give a short concert to include the test piece, followed by refreshments and a rehearsal of the work. Admission is free.
