St. Ronan's Silver is to make brass band history later this month by appearing at the world famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
The Innerleithen outfit, which this year celebrates its 200th Anniversary, will play as the pre-show entertainment at the event on 20th August.

"The band is delighted to have been given this opportunity to perform at one of the world's favourite festivals of music," explained Secretary, Keith Belleville.
"We have organised a series of special events to mark our bicentenary this year and this is sure to be one of the highlights," he added.

Entertain
The band under Captain Alex Know, has prepared a short programme of music which will include local airs as well as well-known music to entertain the Tattoo crowds as they take their seats.
2010 marks the Diamond Jubilee year of Edinburgh's celebrated Royal Military Tattoo which attracts over 200,000 spectators every year to the Esplanade at Edinburgh Castle.
