There was a very special VIP outing recently for two members of the Wilsden Band from Yorkshire, as the band’s MD Ken Lee tied the matrimonial knot with principal cornet player Shelley Hodgson at their local St. James’s Church in Silsden, West Yorkshire.
Perfect
The weather was perfect and the whole day was fantastic, and the bride made her way to the alter accompanied to the sound of ‘Trumpet Voluntary’, played by Jamie O’Brien, with organ accompaniment.
Whisked off
After the service, the bridal party left the church through a ceremonial arch of trombones formed by band members, before being whisked away by vintage car to for the journey to the Ilkley Hotel for a reception, the releasing of doves and a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
