Garry Cutt recently led an 'All Star Band' at his local Ring O’ Bells Pub in Marple, which raised over £850 for two local charities.
Fine work
The Kidney Foundation Trust and Christies Hospital benefitted from the fine musical work of players from Fairey (Geneva), VBS Poynton, Bollington, Silk Brass, Hazel Grove, Glossop, Hawk Green and Marple, who supplied the music, stands and percussion and helped out to support the cause.

Solo work
The front row cornet bench included Mike Eccles, Tony Wyatt, Will Morley, Martin Davies, Les Hall and Jimmy Murray, so Garry was able to share the solos around on the day without too many problems!
Over the moon
Organised by pub landlord and Marple's solo trombone Mark Singleton, the event was a huge success. Mark told 4BR: "I'm over the moon. It was a brilliant turn out and over 300 people enjoyed some great playing."
The All Star Band was the penultimate ensemble in a series of concerts at the pub in what has been a highly succesful Sunday afternoon series, and which saw the likes of Marple Band, Hawk Green perform. The final concert of the series will take place next week featuring the Hazel Grove Band.
