Rothwell Temperance players past and present have been rocked by the news of the sudden death of ex-soprano and principal cornet player Tracey Harrison. She was 39.
Conductor David Roberts told 4BR: "To hear that Tracey's 11 year old son had found his mum had suddenly passed away has really cut me up. It puts everything into perspective: banding, contesting, the lot. It's knocked me for six and players past and present are very upset."
The band's thoughts are with the family at this sad time. The funeral will be held on 12th July.
