Cedar backing for Whaley Bridge

The Whaley Bridge Band has secured some solid sponsorship growth.

Whaley Bridge

The Whaley Bridge Band has announced that they are to have projects for both their senior and learner bands funded by a new sponsorship deal from a local business.

Arts sponsorship

Cedar Finance Limited has sponsored numerous local arts projects over the years and the band was delighted when they were selected to benefit from financial backing using Cedar’s established arts sponsorship.

Major regrowth

The band itself has undergone a major re-growth period, from just 9 players in September 2008 to the present 26 senior members and 22 learners.

Support

Bill Wilson of Cedar Limited told 4BR: "We have seen the band come back to life in the local area, and are very impressed at what has been achieved in such a short period."

He added: "We at Cedar are keen to support the future of local arts activities and we look forward to helping the band continue that growth to re-establish itself as one of the High Peak’s premier brass bands."
