Brass Band Rijnmond conducted by Anno Appelo won the 16th French Open Championships held in Loire Valley town of Amboise last weekend.
The Netherlands band beat off the French challenge of Exo Brass as well as the British assault of London Area champions Redbridge, who came third. It was Rijnmond's third successive victory at the contest.
Fist Division
In the First Division, victory went to local favourites Brass Band val de Loire, who took the title ahead of Lympstone South West Telecoms, whilst the Second Division hopnours were taken by Schoonhoven B, who beat off the challenge of Royal TNT Post Brass and Swindon Pegasus.
