Uppermill Band has announced that it has welcomed back Sarah Hudson, who takes over the principal cornet seat with immediate effect.

Assistant return

Sarah previously played assistant principal cornet before she moved away to further her career, and she returns to take up the principal seat with immediate effect, following the departure of Tom Gibb, who has joined Hepworth (Cookson Homes)Band.

Chairman John Ward told 4BR: "Our best wishes go with Tom, but we look forward to Sarah taking up the challenge to lead Uppermill forward, especially in 2011 when we will play in the Second Section."
