New signings at Foden's

Foden's quickly make new signings ahead of English National assault.

Following the recent departure of some players from the current Brass in Concert champion, Foden's has announced that it has acted quickly to find top class replacements.

New soprano

Following Alan Wycherley's departure it has been revealed that the band's Assistant Principal Cornet, Richard Poole will take over the vacant soprano position.

Richard has covered for Alan on a number of occasions during the past couple of years as well as during his recent health problems. Anna Hughes-Williams makes a welcome return to cover the vacant solo cornet position caused by Richard's new appointment.

Contrary to various rumours circulating about numerous players leaving Foden's due to recent events, the band can confirm that only Alan Wycherley has left the band as a result of Garry Cutt's departureFoden's Band

New tuba

Following Garry Proctor's departure due to work commitments, the band has signed Andrew Warriner on Bb tuba. This move had been been planned by the band acting on the news of the player's departure to them in May.

A replacement for fellow tuba star Gavin Saynor, who also had to unfortunatley leave due to work commitments and family reasons has yet to be confirmed.

Contrary to rumours

A spokesperson for the band told 4BR: "Foden's would like to wish the above players all the best in their future endeavours. Contrary to various rumours circulating about numerous players leaving Foden's due to recent events, the band can confirm that only Alan Wycherley has left the band as a result of Garry Cutt's departure."
