Blandworth rerun after breakdown

The Blandworth Band from near Portsmouth made sure their wait for transport was a musical one in Wakefield on the weekend.

Misfortune struck the Blendworth Band after their recent Whit Friday excursion — although they didn't let it upset them too much it seems.

After attending the famous contests and after taking part in the Ripon Band Entertainment Contest, the band from near Portsmouth were looking forward to the long trek home after a highly enjoyable weekend.

Limped home

After covering only about twenty miles of the journey from their base in Wakefield however on the Sunday morning, their coach broke down and limped into the next service area.

With the prospect of having to wait a few hours before a replacement could reach them, the band decided to entertain themselves and the passing motorists4BR

Re runs

With the prospect of having to wait a few hours before a replacement could reach them, the band decided to entertain themselves and the passing motorists.

Multiple versions of their Whit Friday march 'Punchinello' and a run run of their entertainment programme saw them gain new fans and passed the time before help arrived.
