The German National Championships recently took place at the Mercatorhalle in Duisburg.

3BA victory

Following their runner up placing in the B Section of the European Brass Band Championships in Linz, Bayerische Brass Band Akademie (3BA) took the honours in Hochststufe Division ahead of the band that came third at the Brucknerhaus, Brass Band Oberschwaben.

Cologne Concert Brass won the C Section (Oberstufe) and Big Breath Brass Band (B4) took the honours in the D Section (Mittelstufe).

In the open Entertainment Contest it was Soli Brass Leeuwarden from the Netherlands that took first prize.
