The Jaguar (Coventry) Band will be making an epic double appearance at two major events this weekend.

Masters

On Sunday they will be on their top contesting form as they head to Kettering for the All England International Masters to perform one of the classic works of the brass band repertoire in Percy Fletcher's 'Epic Symphony'.

24 hours later however, they will be dusting off more classic English works from Holst, Vaughan Williams and Granville Bantock as they take a central role in the prestigious English Music Festival.

We are absolutely delighted to be the first ever brass band to perform at the festival, alongside professional orchestras and ensemblesChairman, Simon Archer

Epic programme

Em Marshall, the English Music Festival’s Founder and Director told 4BR: "The Jaguar (Coventry) Band will perform for us in an epic programme of music ranging from the intriguingly unfamiliar to the much-loved."

Delighted

The Band’s Chairman, Simon Archer added: "We are absolutely delighted to be the first ever brass band to perform at the festival, alongside professional orchestras and ensembles. We are really looking forward to representing the city of Coventry, our sponsor and the brass band movement at such a high profile event."
