Prolific composer Philip Wilby has just completed a new work for The Spijkerpakkenband from Holland.
Dutch visitors
The Friesland based band and their conductor Thijs Oud, will visit West Yorkshire in July and take part in the Brighouse Festival of Brass.
In addition to the March and Hymn Tune Contest on the Sunday the band will play concerts in Brighouse and Bailiff Bridge where the premiere of Philip's, 'Fanfare and Anthem' will take place.
The work is based on the Friesland National Anthem, and the First Section champion band of Holland will be guests of the Brighouse Lions4BR

The partnership between the bands began when David Horsfield visited the band ten years ago on an adjudicating and conducting trip to the North of Holland.
Growing entry list
The entry list is full for the Sunday contest with 27 bands taking part including last year�s Champions Marsden and runner-up Hammonds.
Regular visitors from Cumbria, Durham and Wales; Dearham Silver, Easington and Royal Buckley support the event once more.
Memorial concert
Plans are in hand to have a short memorial concert for the late Stephen Thornton and Geoffrey Whitham before the results on the Sunday.
Elland Silver, conductor James Shepherd, will play with ex members of JSVB and Hammonds taking part also.
