Yeo set for masterclass

Trombone virtuoso set for Freckleton appearance — and you can join him too.

On Sunday 27th June Doug Yeo will be flying in from the USA to present a masterclass as well as performing with the Freckleton Band in concert to raise funds for Trinity Hospice and the Lifeboat Association.

Trombone choir

Doug has offered to give a trombone clinic, and take a massed trombone choir, in the afternoon before the concert.

The masterclass will be open to trombonists of all ages and abilities, and is a great opportunity for players to attend the sort of event only usually open to college or university students.

Treble and bass

In this section Doug will talk about blend, pitch, tuning and other vital section disciplines. Music is available beforehand, and in both treble and bass clefs!

The event takes place at on Sunday 27th June at Kirkham Grammar School, starting at 2.00pm.
