Blidworth Welfare Band has wished long serving player Vicky Wilmott all the best in her new life in New Zealand.

Vicky has played in the band for over ten years and has played both cornet and horn.

New life in New Zealand

Vicky flies to New Zealand with partner Jeremy Thompson, who also played for Blidworth whilst visiting the UK. To celebrate Vicky’s departure the last band practice finished early so that they could enjoy a drink before saying farewell and good luck.

Return

The duo are planning to return to the UK for a short break in the next two years. However, a few of the band members are now planning to travel to New Zealand, as Vicky and Jeremy left an open invitation to visit them at their new home.
