The Desford Band has announced that two of their long serving players have decided that they need to spend even more time together away from the rehearsal room in Coalville.
Tie the knot
Solo horn player Murray Borthwick and back row cornet Debbie Arscott will tie the knot next year at Stowe School, where Debbie is Head of Brass and Percussion.
Brass music
The couple plan to enjoy the occassion with plenty of brass band music before flying out to Murray's homeland of New Zealand for a ceremony with all his family.
The marriage will round off a period of rest and recuperation for Murray who has been ill for while, but is now on the road to recovery thanks to Debbie's help. Murray hopes to be able to fly to New Zealand in June to play for Waitakere Brass at the National Championships.
