Exceptional playing
Kathleen Harrison told 4BR: "Whilst the entry was lower than in previous years the standard was quite high, with some fine playing in all sections. Special mention must go to the 11 years & under class where there was exceptional playing from such young children."

Bright future
Kathleen added: "The recent TV production 'A Band for Britain' gave the impression of the demise of the British brass band, but these young people showed that the heart and soul of banding is in very safe hands and the future looks very bright for our wonderful heritage."
