As reported recently on 4BR, the entry portal for the inaugural Wainstones Cup Trophy has seen a good initial response.

Spokesman John Steel told 4BR: "I couldn’t believe how quickly the first six bands’ entries came through, all within 4 minutes. Now we are waiting for further responses from a number of bands who have initially contacted us for further details."

Encouraging
John is hopeful that after a highly encouraging response to the first news of the contest, bands will now be in a position to know if they can make arrangements to add the exciting event to their busy contest calanders.
He added: "Judging from the number of pre-entry enquiries I feel sure that other bands will want to enter now that furtehr details have been released."
Entries still open
John revealed that the bands that have entered so far are all ranked in the 4BR top hundred.
