Viewers tuning into BBC2's documentary 'A Band for Britain' last Monday would have seen members of Foden's Band assisting the programme's stars, Dinnington Colliery in sectional and full rehearsals prior to a concert with Grimethorpe.
Helping hand
Speaking about the TV appearance principal cornet Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "We were approached by the makers of the documentary last year to arrange for Les Neish, Lesley Howie, Mark Landon, Glyn Williams and myself to be filmed helping the band."
Thrill
He added: "It was a great thrill for the Foden's players to be involved and the Dinnington Band who were extremely friendly and hard working. All at Foden's would like to congratulate them on their qualification in the Fourth Section Yorkshire area as well as continued good luck for the future."
