Following hard on the heels of a hectic month of film crews and photo shoots promoting the recent launch of the CD, 'The music lives on now the mines have gone', Betteshanger Colliery Band has overcome the rigours of TV fame, with a qualifying regional performance.

Promotion video and TV news crews (both main channels) have been accommodated in the midst of preparations for the Stevenage contest, but despite the distractions all the hard work.

Double success

Last week the band appeared live on 'The Alan Titchmarsh Show' and then gained promotion to the Second Section with a fine runners up spot at Stevenage to qualify for Harrogate in September.
