New signings at Darwen

Darwen Brass has announced some experienced new signings.

Darwen Brass has announced the recent signing of two experienced players.

Hat trick

Former Marsden soprano and Fodens front row cornet player Andrew Lofthouse comes to the band after helping them to achieve a hat-trick of wins at Fleetwood, St Helens and Brass at the Guild.

Meanwhile, David Whittaker, former solo baritone with Blackburn SA joins on euphonium to complete the line up for the forthcoming season.

Delighted

Band Chair, Mandy Pickles told 4BR: "We are delighted to welcome two experienced and capable musicians to our ranks. Our band, formed in January 2007 continues to make significant progress and we look forward to more success in 2010!"
