RMT Easington Colliery Band has announced that it will engage conductor Nigel Stedman to lead their challenge at the forthcoming Fife Brass Band and Spring Festival contests
Promising
Following a string of recent promising performances, the band is looking to step up a gear and improve on a recent run of poor contest results.
Nigel told 4BR: "They have a full compliment of dedicated players as well as some very talented soloists. Mixed with the ambition, and an eagerness to step things up a gear on the contest stage, they’re in good shape, and I’m looking forward to working with the band."
