Time for Brass:
97.2, 89 and 103.7FM and 1368 AM and www.manxradio.com
This week Ian picks up where we left off three weeks ago and continue the listeners’ requests that overflowed from that earlier programme.
This time our musical journeyings take us to Australia, Tasmania, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and, of course our devoted band of listeners here in the Isle of Man.
The internet has transformed listenership for ever. Also we are moving into the season of the Area Championships with our particular interest, the North West of England, scheduled for Sunday 14th March. Manx Concert Brass is taking part again in First Section with Douglas Town and Ramsey Town head to head in Third Section.
Both sections have wonderful long-established test pieces. I played Holst’s 'A Moorside Suite' some weeks back to speed Concert Brass on their journey (hopefully) to Harrogate while 'Labour and Love' will form the centre piece of next week’s programme.
