Moving in
Jamie plays with Hammonds Saltaire and his appointment at Sellers Youth marks a new beginning at the band. The loss of all of last year's principal players to University or being too old to contest has meant a new generation has moved up to take their place.
In the last three weeks Alex Kerwin, with the assistance of Jamie Smith, Murray Preston and Tom Slywkanycz have set up a training band to ensure the future of Sellers International Youth Band.
Rebuilding
A spokesperson told 4BR: "With a creditable performance at the Action Research Championships, this year is a time to rebuild for the future, picking up more concerts and performance opportunities."
