Those great lads and lasses of Coronation Brass are set to visit the European Folklore Festival in Bitburg, Germany again this year.

Long history

There is a long history of a British brass band playing at the festival and as a result of the band’s annual pilgrimage to the famous home of the Bitburger Pils brewery, British brass bands are held in very high regard in the town.

Familiar names

Over the years, some familiar names have joined EFB and Coronation Brass for their performances at the festival, whilst the band have also visited Malta on two occasions where they represented the UK in the Mellieha International Band Festival.

Trips

The trips attract players from mostly Championship and First Section bands although any competent sight readers are always welcomed!

The band is conducted by former EFB flugel player, Max Joseph and managed by Nick Jones.
