Flowers Youth Band continues to bloom, following further success at contests this year.

Two wins

Under the direction of Tom Davoren, they achieved first prize in the First Section at the Greater Gwent Youth Brass Band Festival last month, and followed it up by winning the Gold Certificate at the Gloucestershire Brass Band Association Contest last weekend.

Get up and Go!

Their programme entitled 'Get Up, Go!', was composed specifically to celebrate the anniversary of its first contest performance one year ago.

MD Tom Davoren told 4BR: "With less than two year's experience, the tremendous achievements of the band are testimony to the player's efforts, their dedication and commitment to work as a team. I believe this is the start of a very exciting future."
