Darwen Brass has been celebrating after gaining first prize in the 4th Section at the Brass at the Guild Contest on the weekend.

Their performance of 'Music for a Festival' saw them gain a 2 point winning margin from adjudicator David Read MBE, who also commented that they delivered "... an assured and confident performance."
The win at Preston is Darwen's third victory in the past five months, following wins at the Fleetwood and Wilkinson's Contests.

Darwen are now gearing up for the Area Contest at Blackpool.
