Having started life in a North Yorkshire garden workshop, Geneva professional instruments’ rise to international acclaim is one that making its owner, staff and of course its players a very contented family of musicians.
Finest
'Geneva'’ started in 2000 when its Managing Director, Tim Oldroyd set about on a personal ambition to produce a range of trumpets that not only satisfied the modern market, but also realised a standard of craftsmanship that could only result in the finest playability and lifelong customer satisfaction.
Consumate
Having developed the range by coupling the advice of some of the finest players in the world with consummate build quality, Tim advanced the brand to a level at which he was confident that everyone from the finest players to those who simply enjoy their hobby would tune their ear to a Geneva Trumpet.
Finesse
Speaking on the quality of the instruments Tim said: "There isn’t an instrument that leaves our workshop that I personally am not satisfied with. Anyone who chooses to play Geneva is guaranteed that passion and finesse has been poured into every instrument."
Having accumulated an enviable clientele of trumpet endorsees, the Geneva family is growing every month along with its’ teams pride in its brand.

Confidence
Such pride and confidence in the instruments is greatly assisted by the endorsement of the instruments by jazz legend Kenny Ball, and two of the finest jazz flugel horn players Steve Waterman and Gerard Presencer.
Having realised him ambition with his trumpets and being confident in their future, Tim steered Geneva’s course to a genre that is very close to home, the brass band.
Brass band
Following the same fastidious approach in the development of cornets as with trumpets, Tim once again sought out the advice and opinions of the exponents of the instrument so that the instruments quality would parallel that already expected of the Geneva brand.
The cornets are now played by some of the finest musicians including GUS Band's young star James Fountain, Jimmy Hayes and Mike Eccles to name a few.
Tenor horn and euphonium
The same story has followed with the new tenor horn and the new Geneva 'Symphony' euphonium, and there is already a waiting list for those wishing to play the Geneva trombones as played by Chris Gommersal, solo trombone, Brighouse and Rastrick Band.
Aside from the dedication to the build quality, research and development of each instrument, Geneva also prides itself on providing an unparalleled customer service for each and every one of its clients courtesy of its sales team headed up by Richard Baxter.

Richard hails from a twenty year long career providing excellence in customer service and has hand-picked his team of customer service representatives who share both his exuberance for client satisfaction and who are all brass band enthusiasts!
