John Durrant has been announced as the new MD of Gresley Colliery Band. John will lead the band to the Midlands Area contest in March.

Going for Experience

Band Secretary Steve Kirk, told 4BR: "The band is looking to John's extensive experience to get us through to the National Finals. The band is only too aware that this is their first year competing in the Championship Section and we know that we have a hard job ahead of us, but we are relishing the challenge and looking forward to making a mark."
