The Timperley Band has confirmed the appointment of Alan Hobbins as their new Musical Director.

Wealth of experience

Band Chairman, Gary Winson told 4BR: "This is a very important appointment for us. The wealth of experience Alan brings as a highly accomplished soprano cornet player at the top level and the remarkable progress Alan has already made as a conductor means Timperley can look forward to a bright future."

Delighted

Alan added: "I was delighted to accept the position as MD. Timperley has huge potential following a successful period of rebuilding, coupled with a friendly atmosphere and players who have a great focus to succeed. I do feel with more hard work and the determination to improve, the band will only go from strength to strength."
