Westwood No

The Eagley Band and Gareth Westwood have parted company on the best of terms.

Eagley

The Eagley Band has announced the departure of their MD, Gareth Westwood.

Best of terms

The departure is made on the best of terms as Gareth succumbs to the music teaching workload of his new post at the Blue Coat School.

Good position

Band spokesperson Mike Lyons told 4BR: "Thanks to Gareth, the band is in a good position. We continue to have a very full concert agenda, as well as contest appearances and we are also celebrating our 160th year in 2010 with a new CD which was released just before Christmas. The band would like to thank Gareth for his three years of hard work and we wish him all the very best for the future."

I have some great memories as MD of the band and am very sad to be leavingGareth Westwood

Great memories

Meanwhile Gareth added: "I have some great memories as MD of the band and am very sad to be leaving. I wish them all the best for the future and thank all the players, past and present for a fantastic three years of music making."
