Northumbrian Water Ellington Colliery Band has announced the appointment of Jonathan Fenwick as their new Musical Director.

Band Manager, John Colvine told 4BR: "The band are really excited about working with Jonathan. Since starting with us in early November he has quickly made a big impact with the band at rehearsals and engagements and is already a big hit with audiences."

He added: "Jonathan is one of the most exciting and talented young conductors in the North East."
