Lee to leave Brighouse

Flugel star John Lee will be leaving Brighouse & Rastrick at the end of the year.

Lee

4BR has been informed that flugel star John Lee has taken the decision to leave his position at Brighosue & Rastrick at the end of December.

See year out

John told 4BR: "I informed the band at the beginning of November, that I would see the year out. Having seen the schedule for next year, I realised that the band simply had to much on for me to be able to commit 100%."

I intend to continue playing and doing my solo and teaching work, and I already have more projects with Boobs & Brass in the pipelineJohn Lee

Difficult decision

It has been a difficult decision for the player, but won't mean that he will give up playing all together.

"I run my own businesses and in the present climate they need my attention far more than in previous years. I intend to continue playing and doing my solo and teaching work, and I already have more projects with Boobs & Brass in the pipeline, but trying to keep all the plates spinning next year would have been impossible.

"I'm sure the band will flourish under its new regime and I wish them well for the future."
